The Boschendal Brut NV is pale gold with a flourish of delicate bubbles and enticing lemon cream and almond Biscotti precede lovely layers of citrus and a finish with appealing length and freshness. Maturation on the lees provides a well-rounded, creamy mouth-feel with mouth-watering minerality, good balance and a seamless finish.

Enjoy well chilled as on its own or as the perfect partner for panko-crusted prawns with lemon-garlic aioli, gourmet mac and cheese with parmesan and pancetta or fresh oysters

The collection of fine Cap Classique sparkling wines are made according to the traditional champenoise method, with early harvesting at lower sugar levels to achieve the desired freshness needed for the base wine. The secondary bottle fermentation is followed by extended lees contact in the bottle which ensures opulence and texture without compromising the inherent vibrant fruit detail and natural freshness.

Boschendal launched its first Cap Classique, South Africa’s classification forbottle-fermentedsparklingwine,in1981becomingthesecond producer in the country to do so. This was the Boschendal Brut, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes and it paved the way for a long lineage of award-winning Cap Classique wines from the Estate’s cellar. Today Danielle Jacobs, winemaker and Cap Classique wine specialist, continues to build on Boschendal’s reputation as one of South Africa’s leading Cap Classique advocates with a footprint in over 70 countries.

Consistently striving towards crafting top class Cap Classique, Boschendal was crowned by the Amorim Cap Classique Challenge when receiving the award for the best Cap Classique in 2013 with the elegant Boschendal Grande Cuvée Brut 2009 and again in 2019 for the highly acclaimed Boschendal Jean Le Long Prestige Brut 2008.
